Detailed Program
Day 1 – Welcome to Havana
Private transfer to your accommodation from Havana airport.
Meet your local guide who will assist you for the duration of the tour.
Depending on your arrival time, the guide will take you on a walk in the area around your accommodation, showing you some points of interest, and suggesting some great cafes, bars or paladares.
These privately run restaurants are the best places to experience true local food, drinks and great hospitality.

Day 2 – Exploring Havana
After your breakfast you will be picked up by your guide to start the private Old Havana walking tour.
Old Havana has been designated a world heritage site by UNESCO in 1982.
Remodeling is occurring slowly, so while some buildings are excellently restored to their original glory, others have taken on their own look by being left to age naturally, virtually neglected since the Revolution triumphed more than 50 years ago.

Day 3 – Varadero & Saturno Caves
After your breakfast, you will be picked up by your driver and personal guide in a classic or modern hardtop car (as you prefer) to start your tour to Varadero.
The journey time is a bit less than 2 hours.
Varadero has 22 kilometers of fine white sand beaches and clear blue waters where you can relax, swim, play, or practice all kind of water sports with your partner, friends, or family.
From the viewpoint, you can enjoy the breathtaking view, take some beautiful photos and eventually enjoy a tasty Pina Colada which is one of the best you can get in the area.
Then after having a quick sightseeing of Matanzas from the car (you can stop and visit it properly if you would like to) we will reach the Saturno Caves where you can have a refreshing swim in the natural pool.
We’ll drop you off at the beach where you can relax, sunbathe, swim or do any water activity.
Around 5.00 / 6.00 pm (depending the season) we will leave Varadero to return to Havana where you will be dropped off at your accommodation.

Day 4 – Havana
After your breakfast, if you would like to have the Cigar Factory Tour, your guide will take you to one of the cigar factories open to the public on that particular day.
You’ll have an interesting tour inside the factory where you will be explained the whole process involved in the production of a cigar.

Few Hours at the Beach
This is also a very good place to have some fresh coconut water and a great seafood lunch which can be served directly under your umbrella.
Finca Vigia
You will be taken to Finca Vigia, Hemingway’s country home in Cuba, where he spent twenty-one of his most productive years becoming a titan of English literature. His house remains just as it was when he lived in it. You’ll see his eclectic personal objects, thousands of books, manuscripts, and photographs, as well as some animal trophies, bagged on his frequent safaris.
At the end of the Finca Vigia tour you will be dropped off at your accommodation to freshen up and get ready for your last evening in Havana.
The cañonazo itself is the firing of a cannon over the bay at 9.00 pm sharp , but leading up to it is a really interesting ceremony featuring actors dressed in 18th century military garb.
At the end of the ceremony you will be dropped off at your accommodation or at a bar, cafe’ or nightclub if you prefer to have some for fun on your own.

Day 5 – Goodbye Havana
You have free time to explore anything else on your own before leaving to the airport, Varadero or anywhere else.
